The United Nations Security Council has made important and groundbreaking progress to date on its children and armed conflict agenda. These important efforts are squarely placed within the context of the Council’s overall mandate to protect international peace and security. Yet, significant work remains to be done to consolidate progress and to guarantee that these efforts ultimately lead to tabgible impact on the ground.
