Description

This law defines Persons with Permanent Disabilities (PWPD) as individuals injured between February 15 to October 23, 2011, during the Liberation War while defending the country and supporting the 17 February Revolution against the former regime (Article 1).

Article 2 classifies PWPD into three categories for benefits allocation:

  • Permanent Physical Disability: includes paralyze and amputation
  • Permanent Sensory Disability, includes muteness, visual impairment, and hearing impairment.
  • Loss of physical organs or permanent psychological or mental illness.

Per Article 3, benefits include:

  • Monthly pension ranging from 3.350 to 5.000 LYD.
  • Healthcare for PWPD and their dependents.
  • 50% discount on national and international fares.
  • Priority in employment in governmental institutions and agencies.
