This month’s update highlights children and armed conflict concerns and provides recommendations for the protection of children in the situations of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Iraq, Mali, and Sudan. The Security Council Working Group on Children and Armed Conflict adopted its conclusions on children and armed conflict in Mali on May 4, and presently has no country reports to negotiate.
