2017 marked Watchlist’s 16th year of advocacy on behalf of children in armed conflict. Watchlist’s Annual Report highlights its research over the past year on the thematic issue of attacks on health care, advocacy to ensure the UN Secretary-General’s annual list of child rights violators is complete, efforts to mainstream child protection in the work of the Security Council, and engagement with civil society partners at the field level, among others. The report opens with a foreword from Watchlist’s Advisory Board Chair and Vice-Chair, who describe the vital role Watchlist plays in coordinating advocacy on behalf of its network. It concludes with an organizational update and year-end financials for 2017.
