(UNICEF) – “The successful conclusion of a National Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) between the Government of Myanmar and representatives of 16 ethnic armed groups is welcome news for children in Myanmar, who have suffered from some of the longest-running civil conflicts in the world. The lives of millions of children in Myanmar have been affected by these conflicts, which have disrupted the delivery of basic services such as immunization and education, undermined children’s physical and emotional wellbeing, and increased the risk of trafficking as well as the recruitment and use of children by armed forces.”
