(DCI-Palestine) – Israeli forces shot and injured Mahmoud Qaddumi, 13, on July 23 near the Israeli separation barrier by the northern West Bank city of Qalqilya, before detaining, interrogating, and attempting to recruit him as an informant. Israeli paramilitary border police shot Mahmoud once in each leg while he was standing on his family’s land, west of Jayyus, near Israel’s separation barrier, after children in the area burned a tire and fled, Mahmoud told Defense for Children International – Palestine in a sworn testimony.
