(OSRSG-CAAC) – Dear friends and colleagues, After four and a half years as UN Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict, the time has come to say goodbye. But first, I’d like to thank all of you for your commitment, unwavering support and work to alleviate the plight of children affected by armed conflict. When I arrived in 2012, I was impressed by the international community’s engagement to create a mandate with mechanisms and tools to protect children affected by war and by my predecessors’ vision and achievements.
