(OSRSG-CAAC) –  Leila Zerrougui, the Special Representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, will visit Myanmar from 11-17 July. The purpose of the visit is to assess both the situation of children affected by armed conflict, and the progress made towards implementing the Action Plan signed by the Government in 2012 to end recruitment and use of children. From Yangon, the Special Representative will travel to the national capital, Nay Pyi Taw, as well as to Mandalay and Myitkiyna.
