(Eleven) – Twenty army officers have faced actions for “mistakenly” drafting under-18s, according to the military-controlled Defence Ministry. Major-General Myint Nwe, deputy minister for defence, said: “We’re boosting our efforts to protect children from being drafted into the army. Our aim is to leave the list of militaries that use child soldiers.”
