Order № 436 of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine approves the scope of first aid provision in tactical conditions for security and defense forces engaged in combat operations or training. This document regulates first aid measures for military personnel, taking into account the levels of training and qualifications of medical staff. The extended first aid is categorized into three levels—basic, intermediate, and advanced—which define the set of medical skills, interventions, and resources to be applied in various situations.
Special attention is given to children, who, according to the order, fall under the highest level of extended first aid. This means that military personnel providing assistance to children must possess advanced skills to identify and treat urgent conditions. Children, as a particularly vulnerable category, receive the maximum possible care, including additional stabilization measures in combat scenarios and during evacuation. This approach involves specialized diagnostic and treatment methods to ensure an appropriate level of care and support for children in extreme conditions.
The order also provides for regular tactical medical training and skill reassessment of military personnel to ensure high-quality care. Within the framework of pilot projects, adjustments to the list of skills and medications that military personnel may use are permitted, aiming to continuously enhance the standard of aid provided.
