Description

This explanation, provided by the Ombudsman, addresses financial support programs for internally displaced persons who have left areas affected by active hostilities. The Government of Ukraine has adopted a financial assistance program to meet the basic needs of those forced to relocate within the country.

The assistance is available to individuals who evacuated from the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk oblasts, the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, and several regions severely impacted by hostilities and who have relocated to safer areas within Ukraine. The amount of assistance is 3,000 UAH per month for each child or person with a disability, and 2,000 UAH per month for other individuals. To receive this assistance, individuals must register as internally displaced persons by submitting the relevant application to the social protection authorities or a Center for the Provision of Administrative Services. After registration, they can apply for state support and receive the funds via bank transfer.
