The Child Act of 2010 establishes comprehensive rights and protections for children in Sudan. The law addresses various dimensions relevant to the ‘Children and Armed Conflict’ agenda, including proscribing recruitment and use of children (Article 43); guaranteeing special programs for children during processes of demobilization, rehabilitation, and re-accommodation for former soldiers; and prohibiting rape and other forms of sexual violence against children (Article 45).
