On 9 July 2012, Watchlist partner organizations from Nepal and Myanmar/Burma addressed Security Council members in an Arria Formula on accontability for persistent perpetrators. The meeting was jointly organized by Germany and France as a follow up to Security Council Resolution 1998 (2011), where the Council had expressed its willingness to “discuss a broad range of options for increasing pressure on persistent perpetrators of violations and abuses committed against children in situations of armed conflict”.
