Description

Under this law, every child under the age of 18 is entitled to a monthly payment of 100 LYD, which is not subject to any financial deductions (Article 1). The grant is paid to parents, custodians, or legal guardians (Article 2). However, children of Libyan wives and non-Libyan husbands must reside in the country to receive the payment, and the grant will be ceased if they stay outside the country for more than three months (Article 5). Additionally, the Ministry of Social Affairs is responsible for distributing the grant based on the database of the Civil Status Authority (Article 6).
