Ministry of Defence directive to prohibit the killing, maiming and recruitment of and sexual violence against children, in addition to the occupation of schools and hospitals

This directive—issued by the Ministry of Defence of the Democratic Republic of the Congo on May 3, 2013—“prohibit[s] the killing, maiming and recruitment of and sexual violence against children, in addition to the occupation of schools and hospitals.”[1] The directive also “stat[es] that perpetrators would face disciplinary measures or military prosecution.”[2]
