The Strategic Plan, approved by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine, defines the key directions of the Office of the Prosecutor General (OPG) regarding the prosecution of international crimes, including genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity committed on Ukrainian territory since 2014. The document is aimed at effectively investigating and bringing to justice those responsible for serious violations of international law, including crimes against children and those impacting children as a result of the armed conflict with the Russian Federation.
This plan includes measures to coordinate efforts with national and international partners, such as the International Criminal Court, the Special International Tribunal, as well as international non-governmental organizations. The strategy also envisions improving access to justice for children affected by the conflict, providing them with support and protection during criminal investigations, and establishing effective mechanisms for witness protection.
