Description

Against the backdrop of martial law, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine (MES) urged citizens to remain calm and, where possible, continue educational activities in a remote format. Simultaneously, the MES introduced a series of measures to protect people in educational settings during emergencies. These measures include readiness for prompt notifications about threats, information on the spread and impact of hazards, as well as on methods of protection and actions during crisis situations; and organizing evacuation  from educational settings in cases of direct threats to life and health.

The MES developed an action plan for educational institutions, which includes implementing civil protection measures and carrying out recovery work in emergencies, particularly those resulting from military actions or terrorist acts.

Additionally, an updated handbook titled, “In Case of Emergency or War,” was prepared, providing practical advice for citizens on protection during crisis situations.
