The National Democratic Front (NDF) has agreed to cooperate with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to develop an action plan aimed at eradicating child combatants and other child workers among their ranks.
Radhika Coomaraswamy, the special representative of the Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict, made the announcement in a press conference as she concluded a six-day visit to the Philippines.
“The NDF has agreed to send a team to Utrecht (The Netherlands) for high-level talks to finalize the action plan on the registration, release and reintegration of children from their ranks,” Ms. Coomaraswamy said…
