(CAJ News) –  SOME 10 000 children have been demobilized from armed forces in the war-ravaged Central African Republic. They are being reintegrated into society following the ratification of the optional protocol on the involvement of children in armed conflict in October 2016. The minors were forcible recruited into armed groups during the crisis gripping the country. However, minister of justice and human rights, Flavien Mbata, said despite the demobilization of children, the situation of children in the country had considerably deteriorated because of the 2012-2016 crisis.
