On October 5, 2010, Watchlist’s Reports Officer presented at the CRC pre-session meeting for Afghanistan in Geneva to inform the members of the Committee about violations committed against children in the context of the armed conflict children and advising them on recommended actions to be taken by the Government of Afghanistan (GoA). CRC members use the information received during these closed sessions to prepare their list of additional questions and issues of concern to be raised with the GoA during the plenary session, scheduled for January 18, 2011. Together with Watchlist, Fazel Jalil of Save the Children Afghanistan and Sayed Asghar Haidari of the local organization Family Welfare presented on behalf of NGOs in Afghanistan as well as a UNICEF delegation.
