While the Security Council is the primary principal organ of the United Nations dealing with children and armed conflict, issues related to children and armed conflict frequently arise also in the General Assembly. When they do, Watchlist on Children Armed Conflict advocates for maintaining the successes of and strengthening United Nations action to protect children affected by armed conflict.
